Publishing Update!

It has been a busy month. I am almost done the last review of my book which means it will be off to the last look over and formatting while I begin the search for a cover designer. It is so cool to be getting to the end of production and getting it out for others to read.

I’ve also challenging. I was on a roll, specifically when I was posting (mostly) every day during my month series of “Gratitude in Solitude”. With the Covid-19 shutdowns still in effect, despite being in an endless series of “Grondhog Day”, each day presents unique challenges. Some days are just like the others, bleeding one into the next, but other days you question if this shutdown will ever end.  Thoughts of how will life be different when (if) it ends and will there be a second wave forcing us to quarantine again run rampant in my mind.

During this odd time in our lives, probably the most important thing, I have to keep reminding myself to be nice to myself. We can’t leave our homes and do the things we would normally do.  It doesn’t mean I have to be super productive at home and do all the things that pop in our minds. I still need to do the basics – cooking, laundry, putting one foot in front of the other. The basics can be challenging at times.  Other days, I can be more ambitious. I haven’t learned a new language, but I have done some things I am proud of. Some I have told you about and others will be revealed in the coming days and weeks.

The timing is still on track for “Chemical Attraction” to launch in the coming weeks and I am developing my marketing plan. Each book is a chance to build on what I have learned from the previous. Writing and publishing aren’t easy. There are so many moving pieces. It has gotten easier, but there’s still much to do! The fun parts are coming! (I am not a fan of editing, but it is an essential part.)
