Yesterday I posted about how important it is to find something you are grateful for, no matter how big or small. I want to keep this going all month and record it here.
Today I am grateful for spell check.
Yes, spell check. I have always been a bad speller. Probably because of the way I taught myself to read or being bored in class when the teacher was working on phonics. I can still remember sitting in class, looking at the phonics posters and it never felt like it “clicked” in my head. Sure, I knew enough to do okay in school, but I really didn’t care too much about how words were put together back then.
Now, I live and die with my spell-check. I really like Grammarly and all the plug in’s they have. The problem is when I use pen and paper, there is no spell-check. Most things I write will have something scribbled out or massive misspellings because I don’t have the crutch of spell check to help me out. Yes, it is a crutch but one I welcome.
