Okay, I didn’t post yesterday. I have a really good reason though. I was tired. I mean REALLY tired. This week I was assigned to help make face shields. Read this to see how cool my company is: https://www.discmakers.com/faceshields/ (Say Hi, Dan!)

Two days of on my feet for 8 hours each day was a lot. It made my right foot (that I had broken in 4 places a few years ago) really hurt. Hurt to the point that I could barley walk. Today, I was thrilled I could use my office chair and was happy to wheel it down the hallways. Ok, yes, I did want to try and wheel it down the hallway with me still sitting in it, but I wanted to play it cool plus HR was lurking around today.

Side note, never ride a chair into a elevator. Trust me.

So, what am I grateful for? Day 7, my employer. DIY Media Group (parent company of BookBaby) who has solved two problems in this crazy time we are in. One, how can we help the health providers with the lack of PPE and two, to keep things open (safely) for the employees. Sure, they sent home those who could work from home, but in the few days I’ve been back in the office, I am amazed how proactive everyone has been to keep everyone healthy and limit the exposure to C19. Rock On DIY Media Group!

And now onto Day 8 (today). Today, like I have all week have had to wear a hair net as I help make those face masks. It hides the fact that I have not been to the hair salon in several weeks. Over the years, I have learned that I trust the professionals, especially with hair dye. Shane Michael (Instagram @Nanashane) is a magician with what he does with my hair (plus he’s just too much fun to hang out with). I can’t wait until this whole lock down is over so I can go see him. Today, I am grateful for Shane Michael and all the other professionals like him who are basically laid off by the government during the lock down.
