Gratitude in Solitude – Day 26

Okay, I goofed. I posted two items for Day 22. Your bonus and I do have a lot to be grateful for as well.

My last post was all about food and I was hungry when I wrote that. I was going to post today about being grateful for bacon, but I thought that would be overkill.

So today I am grateful for sleepy Sundays. Taking the time to not do much of anything on a chilly, rainy day. I have been busy though. I’ve been working my way through The Artist’s Way. I’m on week 8 out of 12.

For anyone who is not familiar with this book, it has helped me unblock my creativity. Yeah, it is a life long process, keeping the creativity going. Each week has a different theme on an aspect of creativity and creativity block. At times, it is like she had gotten into my head, knowing what I had been wrestling in my head the few days before.

Like today. The topic was strength and time, but really it was about the baby steps that are needed to be creative and obtain your goals. How thinking about the end game and that its a Herculean task and that it’s “impossible” or that it’s too late, too old to take the steps to reach the creative “prize”.

Just yesterday I was writing down all the things I need to do to reach my goals. Some were single tasks and others were much larger that needs to be broken down into small pieces but there was still research to figure what those steps are. It’s odd to have a book, a book that is over 25 years old, to be so in tune with me but that might be a reason why it has been around all these years.
